Malachy FRame(1)

Belfast-born baritone Malachy Frame is a Rising Star of the Enlightenment with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment for 2023-25, and was Northern Ireland Opera's 'Voice of 2016,' having won the competition at the company's annual Festival of Voice. Recent operatic roles have included Dandini in La Cenerentola, Sprecher in Die Zauberflöte, Figaro and Fiorello in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro, Marcello and Schaunard in La Bohème, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, March Hare/White Knight in Todd’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Slook in La Cambiale di Matrimonio, Leporello and Masetto in Don Giovanni, Count Ceprano in Rigoletto, and Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas. As a concert soloist: a Wigmore Hall debut singing Bach with the Gabrieli Consort, Xiaogang Ye’s The Song of the Earth with Haydnorchester, Toblach, Purcell’s King Arthur in the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Bach’s St John Passion at the Barbican, Bach’s Easter Oratorio in the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Orff’s Carmina Burana with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Britten's War Requiem, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Mass in B minor, Magnificat, and St Matthew Passion, Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, Theodora, and Alexander’s Feast, Vaughan-Williams’ Five Mystical Songs, and Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast.,

Charlotte O'Hare is an award-winning soprano based in Northern Ireland and works internationally as a soloist and ensemble singer. She studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and was awarded the RNCM’s Gold Medal, as well as the Elizabeth Harwood and Frederic Cox prizes. ​

Specialising in baroque and classical repertoire, Charlotte has featured as soloist with various early music ensembles including the Irish Baroque Orchestra, Arcangelo, Sestina and Resurgam, as well as ensemble performances with the Finnish Baroque Orchestra, Gabrieli Consort, Academy of Ancient Music and Polyphony. Charlotte regularly works with various European vocal ensembles including Det Norske Solistkor, Ars Nova Copenhagen and Chamber Choir Ireland.

Operatic roles include Despina (Cosi Fan Tutte), Gabrielle (La Vie Parisienne), Pamina (The Magic Flute), title roles in Handel’s Semele and Theodora, and numerous productions with companies including Opera North, Garsington Opera, and Buxton Festival. Last year she performed the role of First Witch in Opera Collective Ireland’s double bill production of Dido and Aeneas/Venus and Adonis at Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin.

Charlotte is a Samling Artist, and has been generously supported by the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.

London born Tenor, Thomas Elwin, is a graduate and associate of the Royal Academy of Music. Thomas performs on operatic and concert stages across Europe and was a young artist at Oper Stuttgart.


Recent highlights have included Thomas’s debut as Gennaro/Lucrezia Borgia for English Touring Opera, Nemorino/The Elixir of Love with Wild Arts, and Alfredo in a new film of La Traviata with OperaGlass Works. Thomas recently recorded his debut recital album, Le vase brisé, with Lana Bode which will be released on Voces8 Records in January 2025.


Further stage highlights include Rodolfo/La Bohemewith English Touring Opera, Oronte/Alcina at Glyndebourne Festival, Ferrando/Cosi Fan Tutte in Stuttgart, Sam Kaplan/Street Scene in Cologne and Belmont’s/Die Entfuhrung in Bregenz.


As a concert artist highlights include Messiah at Royal Albert Hall, Mozart/Requiem with Munich Philharmonic,Verdi/Requiem in Tewkesbury, Britten/Serenade at King’s Place and Cadogan Hall, and a particular highlight, Finzi/Dies Natalis live on BBC Radio 3 with the BBC Concert Orchestra. 


Thomas lives in London, not far from his beloved West Ham United, and can be found running around various parks,  having recently run his third London Marathon, raising money for the charity MacMillan Cancer Support
